To effectively teach this diverse student population, I have developed a flexible and adaptable teaching approach that acknowledges and incorporates their cultural perspectives. I create a supportive and welcoming classroom environment where students feel comfortable sharing their experiences and perspectives, which enriches the learning experience for all.
For example, in my classes with students from China, I incorporate Chinese cultural elements into my lessons, such as using traditional Chinese characters and discussing aspects of Chinese history and literature.
