In my experience as a Test Prep Instructor, I have encountered numerous instances where I had to adjust my lesson plan to accommodate students with different cultural backgrounds. One particular occasion stands out in my mind, where I was teaching a diverse group of students from various cultural backgrounds, including Asian, African, and European students.
During the initial stages of the course, I noticed that the students from Asian backgrounds were more reserved and hesitant to actively participate in class discussions. On the other hand, the European students were more inclined to engage in debates and express their opinions openly. This cultural difference greatly impacted the dynamics of the class, as it created a divide between the two groups.
To address this issue, I decided to take a more inclusive approach to my teaching. I incorporated a variety of teaching methods that would cater to the different cultural preferences and learning styles of my students. For example, I introduced group activities that encouraged collaboration and fostered a sense of community amongst the students.
